**Make 6p, Make 60p**

This video shows a range of calculation challenges involving money: finding ways of making 6p, 20p and 60p. Very accessible, but finding all the possible ways of making 60p using 5 coins is a challenge!

**Sum Turnover (Y1-Y4)**

A fantastic game for developing addition skills and easy to adapt to increase the challenge!

**Sum and Difference Connect 4 (Y1-Y3)**

Players need to use their addition and subtraction skills to connect 4. Lots of calculation, lots of tactical thinking too! There are four different versions of the game so the challenge can be adapted.

Sum Connect 4 | Roll two dice; cross off a number that is the sum. |

Difference Connect 4 | Roll two dice; cross off a number that is the difference. |

Sum or Difference Connect 4 | Roll two dice; cross off a number that is the sum or difference. |

Sum Connect 4 (4 to 9 dice) | Give children two dice with numbers 4 to 9 on each face. Roll the dice; cross off the number that is the sum. |

A fun strategy game that is easy to play and hard to master! There are lots of ways to deepen the challenge too...

A great game for practising multiplication and division recall. Also, you have to think a few moves ahead!
